The opening of the shopping mall "RheinBerg Galerie" in the center of Bergisch Gladbach was eagerly awaited all over the "Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis". On the evening before the official opening 400 invited guests celebrated with a diversified program and culinary highlights. contour was ordered for the realization of this V.I.P.-event already during the building phase and supplied the complete stage, light and sound equipment including consulting, planning and technical design. In cooperation with HKM Center Management GmbH contour realized an unforgettable evening, which ended just in time right before the opening.
The acoustic situation underneath the almost 30 meter high glass dome as well as the arranging of the audience on both stories of the patio produced technical challenges. Long reverbaration times and arched reflecting surfaces where the issue. Information like this is to the liking of the contour sound crew with Martin Pohl and Björn Wiesehöfer and they developed a decentralized sound system using the new Meyer Sound UPQ as main P.A. with a 600HP subwoofer on each side. Meyer Sound UPA's in the rear ground floor areas and UPJ's on the upper floor completed the clever solution. Thus reflections in the room where avoided and an optimal sound together with finest speech intelligibility was assured.
