On October 15th, 2009, the "Wirtschaftstag 2009 der Volksbanken und Raiffeisenbanken" took place at the "Jahrhunderthalle" in Frankfurt, featuring ECB-president Jean-Claude Trichet and other leading representatives from politics, economy and community. More than 2,500 participants were expected to Germany's largest enterpriser meeting, this year under the motto "Unterwegs in eine neue Welt - Menschen und Märkte im Zeitalter der Megacitys" (on the way to a new world - people and markets in the age of mega cities). Goal of the "Wirtschaftstag" was to offer a platform for discussing the central tasks of our time for the medium-sized businesses.
